TK Training

& Development

Train with Purpose. Level with Intent.

At TK Volleyball Club, our T&D program is designed to solve one of the most common challenges in athlete development—training with athletes who are not at the same skill level. Our solution: a leveling system based on evaluation, consistency, and execution.

Every athlete is placed in a training environment with others who share their capacity to focus, train with purpose, and replicate mechanics with intention. This ensures that every session is efficient, challenging, and developmentally aligned.

This program is open to all 18U and under boys and girls whether or not you are affiliated with TK.

Boys will have their own net and regulation ball to train.

How T&D Works

Step 1: Level Assignment

Athletes are evaluated through an assessment run by veteran staff who’ve observed their performance. Based on this, each athlete receives a T&D Training Level weighed on a 1-10 scale.

Step 2: Targeted Training

Athletes attend classes that correspond to their level.

Classes are a mix of position-based and general skills, with a focus on fundamentals that serve as the foundation for higher-level performance.

Step 3: The Work

Athletes move through TK Training Blocks by:

  • Showing up consistently & train with intention

  • Asking questions & completing homework

  • Tracking progress on the TK T&D Wall

  • Applying technique both inside and outside the TK Facility

Important: Our training philosophy is intentional and detail-driven. Athletes who seek supplemental training from coaches outside TK may regress if those coaches use conflicting methods or lack technical precision. Save your money—trust the system.

Step 4: Level Testing

At the end of each Training Block, athletes may test to advance.

  • Testing is standardized, objective, and conducted in a structured environment.

  • Athletes may focus on mastering sub-level skills rather than rushing to the next level—especially important from Level 6 and up.
